Plan Your Journey to the Exam Centre

Plan Your Journey to the Exam Centre

To make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible on the day of your exams, it’s important to plan ahead! We’ve listed some steps below you can follow to ensure you’re well prepared:

Step 1: Know Your Route and Travel Time

First things first, figure out exactly where your exam centre is. You can the location details in your joining instructions on TECH (Tutors & Exams Candidate Hub). Once you know the address, use a map app (like Google or What3Words) and plan your route. Make sure you know how long it will take to get there, and add a bit of extra time just in case there are any delays.

Step 2: Parking and Drop-Offs

Some of our exam centres don’t have parking, so you’ll need to think about where you’re going to park or get dropped off. Look for nearby parking lots or street parking, and remember to leave enough time to walk from there to the centre.

Step 3: Using Public Transport? Keep An Eye On Travel Updates!

If you’re taking the bus or train, it’s important to keep an eye on any possible delays. Sometimes there are strikes or changes to the routes, so it’s good to be prepared. Have a backup plan in mind, like an alternative bus route or asking a friend or family member for a lift.

Step 4: Check Alternate Sites

On busy exam days, you might be asked to go to a different location. Don’t worry! You can find the addresses of all our alternate sites on our website: https://www.tutorsandexams.uk/#centre-locations. Just click on your registered exam centre location and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Step 5: Don’t Hesitate to Ask!
